Zhala releases video for "I'm In Love"
Zhala Rifat, Robyn's first signing to Konichiwa Records, has unleashed video for "I'm In Love".
Combining tribal dance beats and the massive scand-pop hooks we all know and love, Zhala's new track is another invigorating, hypnotic example of her genius.
The video, from Roxy Farhat, the vision behind The Knife's "A Tooth For An Eye", features "family, cousins, friends, new friends and people [Zhala] admire[s]." Zhala goes on to explains:
"We wanted to make a homage to the love and understanding there is between women. I often feel like there's a commercial picture of women competing with each other but my relationships with women are the most comforting thing I have in my life. I have a great team, they all help me to make my vision reality."
If you like ritualistic hair braiding and psychedelic projections, this might just be for you.
