Yumi Zouma share "She's Electric" from their version of Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
New Zealand dream-pop crew Yumi Zouma are covering Oasis' album (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, and the first preview is here.
"She's Electric" is turned into a shoegaze charmer, with endless waves of fuzz bubbling beneath stratospheric vocals - it's a far cry from the Gallaghers' original.
Yumi Zouma release their take on (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? on 6 April. It's strictly limited to just 1000 copies, and you can only get it via vinyl subscription services Sounds Delicious - it's the follow up to last year's debut album Yoncalla.
Yumi Zouma aren't the only band involved in covering a classic LP for the subscription service, with Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado covering Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) tackling Teenage Fanclub’s Bandwagonesque, and Pains Of Being Pure At Heart taking on Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever.
