Like the best fairy tales, Kristoffer Borgli’s new video for Young Dreams‘ song Young Dreams captures the fun and beauty of childhood, but also its indefinable sadness and sense of the sinister. The new video, for the song which was released on Valentines day on Beachtapes/Telle, perfectly compliments the dreamy but restless song, showing two children, left home alone. In the giddiness of their newly found freedom there is an undertone of loneliness and abandonment, and similarly the song gravitates between the joyous and melancholic, a sense of lost innocence.
