Years & Years launches "Starstruck" TikTok challenge with snippet of song
Olly Alexander, aka Years & Years, has shared a snippet of forthcoming single "Starstruck" through a new challenge on TikTok.
Years & Years haven't released new music since featuring on Pet Shop Boys' "Dreamland" single in 2019 (aside from covering Pet Shop Boys' "It's A Sin" in January), but last week Years & Years has announced new single "Starstruck".
The new single will be the first release since Olly Alexander announced that Years & Years will continue as a "solo project". The statement also confirmed that "Mikey will be part of the Y&Y family and play with us live and Emre will focus on being a writer/producer."
Earlier today (29 March) Alexander took to Twitter to launch a new "Starstruck" challenge on TikTok, featuring a clip of the new song. He explains in the clip, "Surprise! "Starstruck" is out on TikTok, so head over there right now to get the first listen and to make your own videos with it. The "Starstruck" challenge is all about showing your finest post-lockdown glow up that is leaving everyone starstruck because you look so fine. So please go and have a listen, make your own video and can't wait to see what you come up with."
