Yak drop new single "Heavens Above" from new AA-side
Yak have shared "Heavens Above", the first track from an upcoming AA-side recorded with Steve Mackey of Pulp.
The single will be released 28 October via Octopus Electrical with "Semi-Automatic" on the reverse. Pre-order now.
Yak frontman Oli Burslem says of the release: “Inbetween touring in August we managed to squeeze a day in the studio with Mr. Mackey and put down four tracks that we had written on the road. 'Heavens Above' and 'Semi-Automatic' are a result of that session and will be the last thing we release before disappearing and getting ready to record the next record. Both tracks are a simple and direct response to what is current and what we have seen, read, and been part of over the period since the band started touring”
Debut LP Alas Salvation was released earlier this year.
Stream "Heavens Above" below, and find Yak's upcoming UK/EU shows after.
