YACHT get funky on panicky new cut "Ringtone"
YACHT have revealed a new track titled "Ringtone" from upcoming fifth LP I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler.
"Ringtone" is a pulsing synthpop tune, with '80s splashes and flecks of dance music - it's an unofficial spiritual successor to Lady Gaga's "Telephone", and YACHT fuse fresh and funky noises with noisy Crystal Castles vibes during the erratic four-and-a-bit minutes.
This new track follows the reveal "L.A. Plays Itself", a new single only available when L.A.'s Uber prices surge above the normal rate.
I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler is out 16 October via Downtown. Next month, the pair will play two UK shows,: one at London's Oslo on 16 November, and another at Manchester's Night & Day the day after.
