XL Recordings release new compilation XL Chapter VI, featuring Novelist, Zomby, and more

XL Recordings have released a new compilation called XL Chapter VI, full of some of the best electronic artists on their roster.

This anthology arrives 20 years on from The 5th Chapter, and aims to "reconnect with the genesis of XL".

In a press release, the label says: "Electronic music is more than listening to records. Our appetite for lowly lit basements packed with people and equipped big soundsystems is endless. This collection is a celebration of that primalism, an uncompromising look at the very best of the world’s underground – a journey through the clubs, the cities and the culture. The story continues."

The compilation will feature a wide range of XL artists, including Novelist x Mumdance, Zomby, Powell, and Kaytranada.

The XL Chapter VI compilation is out today. To celebrate its release, XL are throwing a massive party called Clock Strikes 13: XL Recordings Presents Chapter VI, which will feature appearances from Zomby, Special Request, Mumdance, MssingNo, and Hugo Massien.
