Wyldest share brooding new cut "Quiet Violet"
London three-piece Wyldest share new cut "Quiet Violet" ahead of their debut album landing on Friday.
"Quiet Violet" is the third, and final single to be shared from Wyldest's upcoming Dream Chaos album, after last month's "Alive", and "Headrush".
The new single arrives with visuals directed and produced by the band's own Zoe Mead.
Of the new single, Mead explains, ""Quiet Violet" tells the common tale of a struggling adult who succumbs to societal pressures and gets themselves trapped in a life full of broken dreams and frustration. When you do things against your own dreams to please others, it can be easy to find yourself stuck in a life you find hollow and suffocating. “Quiet Violet” represents a passive character, unable to fight the pressure around them to live the life they choose. This happens in all walks of life, all around the world and commonly to females. From forced marriages all the way through to being respected less by employers, females regularly get the short straw when it comes to choosing their own path and much of the time it takes a rare strength to overcome it."
Dream Chaos was produced by Mead in their Greenwich studio, with mixing by Greg Hughes from Still Corners. Dream Chaos is the trio's first offering since last year's Hitchhiker EP.
