Wretch 32 announces debut book Rapthology
Wretch 32 has today announced his debut book Rapthology, which is part autobiography, part guide to creativity, and part cultural history.
The UK rapper, who released his new single "Spin Around" last week, is known for his unparalleled lyricism, and has today announced the release of his debut book.
Alongside the announcement of his 400-page book, Wretch 32 wrote on Twitter, "I’ve put every ounce of blood, sweat, tears & knowledge into my very first book entitled Rapthology. People often ask me to explain how my mind works, or to explain my journey in detail. This is me merging the two through complex simplicity."

The description of the book online reads, "Rapthology is an anthology of the songs that have shaped Wretch, and our society, over the last thirty years, from gospel music to dancehall anthems to the most innovative emerging young voices. Step by step, Wretch explains what each song means to him, why it matters and how it has become so popular, and so powerful. In Rapthology, Wretch also provides a lesson in lyric writing, taking us through his own creative process, from the first flashes of inspiration to final edits and improvisation. The result is a groundbreaking autobiography, a guidebook to the music that matters, and an insight into the artistic practises of one of the most inspiring artists of a generation."
