Wow: Beck's back with a blinder and news of his next LP
Beck got another stunner to knock your socks off with - it's called "Wow", and it comes with news of his next record.
After teasing the track on social media yesterday, the acclaimed genre-bender has unveiled something very different. It's got sultry R&B vibes and big arena-folk falsetto - trap beats waltz with sax and low-slung vox. It's smooth, jagged, unnervingly ambitious, and pumped with jittery energy.
"Wow" follows "Dreams", and was debuted today (2 June) on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. Beck and Greg Kurstin worked on the track together.
Beck's new album arrives 21 October via Virgin/EMI. It'll follow 2014's Morning Phase and Song Reader releases.
