Nirvana’s Nevermind finally gets its remastered release this coming Monday to mark twenty years since the band’s classic album originally hit stores.
A two CD deluxe edition of the reissue features the remastered album and B-sides, the Smart Studio sessions (which the band did with Butch Vig in Wisconsin in April 1990), BBC sessions and the so-called ‘Boombox’ rehearsals. These were a set of tracks recorded onto a boombox as a demo for Vig to hear before the band officially went into the studio to make the record.
A further ‘Super Deluxe’ edition will add two more CDs and a DVD featuring alternative mixes and a live show – recorded at the Paramount Theatre in 1991. Check out ‘Breed’ below from that very show:
