Win! Tickets to see Still Corners / Piney Gir + Air 'Le Voyage Dans La Lune' book and album
One competition. Three prizes. You just have to pick which one you want to win. Choices, eh.
The marvellous Air release their new album Le Voyage Dans La Lune on February 6. We reviewed it here and rather liked it. As you may probably know, the album acts as a soundtrack to the freshly restored silent film of the same name. Originally released in 1902, it was the very first film to use science fiction as its main theme – incorporating special effects that were very state-of-the-art at the turn of the 19th century. Alongside the re-release of the film and indeed new album, a book – Trip to the Moon: Back In Color – retells the adventure of one of the most complex and ambitious restoration projects of all time. Read more about the fascinating project here.
We’re giving away a copy of the book plus a Le Voyage Dans La Lune CD to one lucky reader. Details on how to enter below.
With a sound that’s one part California surfer-girl pop, one part Carnaby Street charm – to summarise Piney Gir in a mere paragraph is borderline impossible. Seeing is believing and luckily for you lot, we have a pair of tickets to give away for her forthcoming show at London’s Lexington on Tuesday 17 January. We’ll also throw in a signed 7″ single too. Details on how to enter below.
