Win! We're giving away tickets to see James Holden in Paris for BBMix Festival
Now in its thirteenth edition, BBMix is a leftfield festival organised by the city of Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris (fear not, you can get the metro there).
Taking place over three nights on the 24, 25, and 26 November 2017, the festival is rife with experimental gems.
Proudly outside of the release calendar, the curators have over the years featured the likes of Swans, Ty Segall, Beak>, Lee Ranaldo, and Wire, and trusted the audience to make the festival a yearly gathering for strange and envelope-pushing music.
This year is organised around minimalist, drone, and electronic music. On top of James Holden and the Animal Spirits, the lineup also includes French soft electronic musician Colleen (Thrill Jockey), American minimalist composer Arnold Dreyblatt, and UK discordant quartet Prescott.
