Willie J Healey announces new album with lead cut "True Stereo"
Willie J Healey has announced his new album Twin Heavy, as well as unveiling the lead cut "True Stereo".
"True Stereo" is Healey's first new single since February's "Why You Gotta Do It", which will also feature on his new album.
He says of the new cut, ""True Stereo" came from a good place. I wrote it while trying out my friend Casper’s baritone guitar. I was like, ‘damn this sounds funky!’ I then transferred that tuning to a regular six string, which gave it a really warped sludgy sound. That baritone inspired the whole idea."
Twin Heavy will follow on from Healey's 2017 debut album People and Their Dogs, and will also feature "Songs For Joanna" and "For You" from his 2019 EP Hello Good Morning.
Healey's new album was recorded in the same nine-day session as his 2019 EP, at Eastbourne's Zoo Studios with EP producer/drummer Loren Humphrey (The Last Shadow Puppets, Florence + The Machine, Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey).
