Wiley quits Glastonbury before performance, reveals he never made it to the festival

Friday, Glastonbury’s first “proper” day, was ‘Wiley Day’ for everyone not actually at the festival, after the Grime MC took to Twitter to vent his frustration at having to play what he called “a rainy festival in the West Country”.

“Fuck them and their farm,” read one particular tweet – sounding like a British Kanye ordering some croissants. He went on to say that Michael Eavis and co hadn’t paid him “enough to leave my comfort zone” and that he’d prefer to be nearer his home “in Hackney Downs or Clissold Park… alldayer vibes”.

Now, it turns out that he never even bothered to go to Worthy Farm in the first place (he was just tweeting from Heathrow Airport), has bailed on today’s scheduled performance and he’s on his way to Cyprus as we type this.

To make up for the disappointment of him not performing live today, here’s some things that we’ve learnt from ‘Round 2 of Wiley Glasto Tweets’:

He has feelings contrary to popular belief:

He’s happy to give us music news writers something to write about (Thanks, Wiley):

That he’s “too old for this shit”:

That he’d know what to do if he was Samuel L Jackson in Snakes on a Plane:

He probably wouldn’t be the first around a hippy campfire at Glasto:

He’s still bitter towards Dizzee Rascal (who invited AlunaGeorge on stage with him last night):

He is the closest we have to a modern-day Voltaire:

He loves Twitter as much as Twitter loves him:
