Wilco's 20th anniversary edition of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot features 82 previously unreleased songs
Wilco have announced 20th anniversary editions of their Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album, and the super deluxe version will feature 82 previously unreleased tracks.
Wilco originally released their fourth album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in 2002, and this afternoon (19 April) Wilco have announced 20th anniversary editions of the record alongside releasing a live version of "Reservations" that was recorded at The Pageant in St. Louis back in 2002.
The super deluxe 20th annniversary edition of the album will be available as a package with 11 vinyl LPs and one CD, or eight CDs. Both formats will also arrive with 82 previously unreleased tracks. The previously unreleased songs include demos, drafts, instrumentals, a live 2002 concert recording and a September 2001 radio performance and interview.
Wilco will also release a seven LP deluxe edition and digital deluxe edition, both of which will include 39 previously unreleased songs. There's also a two LP version and an expanded CD version, both of which feature the remastered version of the original album.
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was the first Wilco release on Nonesuch Records, following the band’s split from Reprise.
Last night (18 April) Wilco performed "Poor Places" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to celebrate the album's 20th anniversary.
