Wilco announce vinyl release of Star Wars, plot UK/EU tour for 2016
Wilco have announced a new array of UK/EU tour dates, as well as a vinyl pressing of recent LP Star Wars.
Among the newly announced shows are two in the UK - at Manchester's Albert Hall and London's O2 Brixton.
Earlier this year Wilco dropped the record online as a free download with no warning. Commenting on the unusual delivery method, frontman Jeff Tweedy sayid: "Why release an album this way and why make it free? Well, the biggest reason, and I'm not sure we even need any others, is that it felt like it would be fun. What's more fun than a surprise?”
Star Wars is out now, with the vinyl release hitting shelves on 30 October.
Tickets for the upcoming shows can be found now, with many more festival dates in the works for next year. Check out the UK/EU schedule so far below.
