White Stripes to release new live LP Under Amazonian Lights
They might have been broken up for nearly four years, but a previously unreleased live White Stripes album is now set to see the light of day as a double LP and DVD.
Under Amazonian Lights was recorded during the band's tour of South America in 2005, and will be available via Third Man Records subscriber service, The Vault. The double LP features a performance recorded live in Manaus, Brazil, the tracklisting for which can be found at the bottom of this article. Including a Bob Dylan cover, and two different renditions of "The Same Boy You've Always Known", it's a storm of a setlist.
The DVD showcases the duo's performance at Teatro Amazonas Opera House, and even features footage of Meg and Jack White performing "We Are Going To Be Friends" outside the venue for fans unlucky enough to not get tickets.
If that weren't enough, with the box set you'll find a white 7'' single of "Let You Down", backed with instrumental outtake Ain't No Sweeter Than Rita Blues, along with a poster, postcards, and pins.
To purchase the collection, you will need to subscribe to The Vault here before 31 January.
This news follows the announcement that Jack White will be headlining this years Coachella festival (details of which you can find here).
