Wet Leg unveil new single "Angelica"
Wet Leg are back with new song "Angelica", which arrives as the fifth preview of their self-titled debut album.
"Angelica" is accompanied by a self-directed video, and will appear onn Wet Leg's debut album alongside last year's "Too Late Now", "Oh No", "Wet Dream" and "Chaise Longue" singles.
Rhian Teasdale says of the new single, which is named after her oldest friend, "It's laced with disenchantment. Even though the chorus is 'good times, all the time'. That's just impossible, isn't it?"
Wet Leg's self-titled debut album was recorded and produced by Speedy Wunderground’s Dan Carey, and was largely recorded in London in April last year before the duo had even put out their debut single. Hester Chambers says, "I guess how it happened was unconventional."
Teasdale adds of the album, "I wanted to write fun songs, I didn't want to indulge sad feelings too much, I wanted to write stuff that's fun to listen to and fun to play. But then, the sad seeps through, as well."
