After a period of calm, Westerman's Friday afternoon set - opening the Wood Stage - was in anticipation for the storm of his newly finished debut album.
Among a menagerie of well-established favourites, Westerman unveiled “I Think I’ll Stay” - a track so new, Will Westerman confessed to us before the set, “the band don’t even know it yet.” He performed the track alone, then dusted off the rarely performed “Mother Song” and “I Turned Away”, before welcoming back the band for the ethereal closer, “Confirmation”.
End Of The Road continues today, Friday 30 August, with Michael Kiwanuka headlining the Wood Stage plus performances from Mitski, Parquet Courts, and more.
