Westerman announces debut album with lead single "Think I'll Stay"
Westerman has announced his highly-anticipated debut LP Your Hero Is Not Dead, alongside sharing the lead single "Think I'll Stay".
"Think I'll Stay" is Westerman's first single since releasing "Blue Comanche" in January, which will also feature on his debut album alongside earlier singles "Easy Money" and "Confirmation".
Westerman says of the new offering, "I wrote this while I was moving a lot. I was thinking about a chronic pain condition when it started. That pain is a very specific type, but I think there's an inevitable amount of pain that everyone goes through just being alive. A friend was talking to me about how they're going to be working until they're 80 years old, so what's the difference. In the song, I'm trying to say that it's worth sticking around. It's a sort of giddy affirmation of being."
Your Hero Is Not Dead will be Westerman's first collection of tracks since last year's Ark EP.
He recorded the LP with his close friend and producer Nathan Jenkins (A.K.A. Bullion) between Southern Portugal and London.
