Wes Anderson's newly announced star-studded romp adds Yoko Ono to the cast
Yoko Ono bands together with Bill Murray, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, and more for Wes Anderson's highly anticipated return to the big screen.
Anderson recently shared a video announcement for his next feature - a stop-motion animation called Isle of Dogs.
The flick will be following the roaring success of his last stop-motion film, Fantastic Mr. Fox Anderson teases the dry, sarcastic humour we can expect in the film with a stubborn exchange between himself and Edward Norton, who also features in the announcement video.
Yoko Ono will join a star-studded cast that already includes regular Wes Anderson appearers Bill Murray and Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Jeff Goldblum, and F. Murray Abraham, plus Harvey Keitel, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Koyu Rankin and Courtney B. Vance - all of whom will be voicing characters in the film.
As if Anderson fans weren't excited enough about this, the distinctive director has given the opportunity for one lucky fan to win the chance of voicing one of the dogs in the film by buying an online raffle ticket through Crowdrise. As he explains in the video, all proceeds from this will go towards the Film Foundation set up by Martin Scorsese to help restore and preserve old pictures at risk of loss.
Isle of Dogs marks Wes Anderson's ninth film, and the first since 2014's Grand Budapest Hotel. Filming will be taking place in London.
