Waxahatchee, AKA Katie Crutchfield, has announced that she has inked a deal with Merge Records in the States.
In a statement released on the label's website, Crutchfield expressed her excitement:
I’m so happy to announce that Waxahatchee will be working with Merge. They’ve been one of my favorite labels for a very long time. They’re wonderful people, and I’m so excited about making records with them in the future!”
She will remain on Wichita for her UK releases. Crutchfield is currently working on the follow-up to her lauded Cerulean Salt LP, due sometime in 2015.
