Watch Webby Award presentations from Questlove, Patti Smith and Stephen Malkmus
The 2014 Webby Awards took place last night, which featured, among many others, presentations from Questlove, Patti Smith and Stephen Malkmus.
First up below is The Roots drummer Questlove, who gave a touching tribute speech while presenting the “Artist of the Year” award to De La Soul for their free release of their entire back-catalogue on Valentine’s Day. Then is Patti Smith, who presented the “Person of the Year” award to Banksy. Then, see a co-presentation from Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus alongside Reggie Watts, who struggled (or pretended to struggle? [or both?]) with their teleprompters while presenting the “Best Viral Video” award for Ylvis’s “What Does The Fox Say?” Last up is a little added bonus in the form of a performance from Fred Armisen as Ian Rubbish and the Bizzaros performing their hit “Hey Policeman.”
Watch all four below.
