For what felt like the entire length of my short 4 hours sleep last night I was having these weird dreams that placed me in various random social situations whilst being lumbered with a really, really painful right arm. At one point I was even crying in my dream it hurt so much. Woke up to find that I had in fact been sleeping in a weird position on said arm and it was, of course, hurting like an absolute bastard. Obviously this whole episode was my bodies way of trying to wake me up – especially the crying bit. I mean, who cries in their sleep? Sheesh.
It’s mornings like this when I wish I had a dream-catcher like the one used in WATERS‘ bizarre new video for single ‘For The One’. Not that my lame ass dreams about arm ailments are anywhere near as interesting as what’s going through ex-Port O’Brien’s Van Pierszalowski’s head at night. Set against some sweet fuzzed out Weezer-esque chord changes and gut-punching chorus, this Allen Cordell directed video is a real trip.
