Watch the video for the Marianne Faithfull x Anna Calvi collaboration, "Falling Back"
Have a gander at the clip below, and soak in the dramatic visuals from Marianne Faithfull and Anna Calvi for their new track, “Falling Back”. Stuffed with reds, teals, greens, shots of horror-flick forests and rolling desolate cliffs, it’s eerily benign despite the relative commotion in the piano-led track. It was shot on location in Sweden by Samantha Morton and filmmaker Martina Hoogland Ivanow for AnOtherMag.com in partnership with Absolut Elyx.
Faithfull said of the project: “When I first met Anna, I could see that she could collaborate. Not everyone can. You really have to leave your ego at the door. My first impressions were that she was very beautiful and that she had a very nice guitar. We ended up having a lot of fun… It’s usually fun working with women.”
Calvi responded with: “To work with Marianne in her apartment in Paris…I remember her speaking the lyrics of her songs and I listened to her voice thinking, ‘God, she could make a shopping list sound incredible.’ Her voice has so much depth.”
