Watch The National play three new tracks at Paris show
Some footage of The National performing three new songs at their Paris show earlier this week (which were debuted last week in Spain) has appeared online.
Last week The National shared the setlist from their first live show since December 2019, which took place in Pamplona, Spain, and it featured three new songs titled "Grease In Your Hair (Birdie)", "Tropic Morning News (Haversham)" and "Bathwater (Mount Auburn)".
Yesterday (31 May) footage of their Monday (30 May) show in Paris appeared online, and it includes performances of those three new songs. Skip to 45:40 for "Tropic Morning News (Haversham), 55:58 for "Grease In Your Hair (Birdie)" and 1:32:20 for "Bathwater (Mount Auburn)".
Back in March, Bryce Dessner gave an update on their follow-up to 2019's I Am Easy To Find album, saying it "kind of feels back to the classic National sound in a way, which was really just the five of us, and it has a lot of energy in it. Maybe it’s like bursting out of the closed doors of Covid or something? I don’t know."
