Watch: Tashaki Miyaki – Somethin’ Better Than Nothin’
A hazy, sun soaked mass of guitars and laid back female vocals akin to the likes of Cults or Best Coast, ‘Somthin’ Better Than Nothin’ is the lead track from Tashaki Miyaki’s forthcoming debut EP. Swirling with feedback and anthemic guitar hooks the irresistible surf pop number is accompanied by an elegant, trippy video directed by Juan Iglesias and set in what can only be described as a beach in space.
Due out on 31 October via the The Sounds of Sweet Nothing, the California native’s eponymous 4-track record will be available digitally and on 12” vinyl but you can download ‘Somethin’ Better Than Nothin’ for free now ahead of their one off show at London’s 100 Club on 28 September with Bos Angeles and label mates Gross Magic.
