Watch Pharrell Williams argue with Krishnan Guru-Murthy on Channel 4 News about misogyny of "Blurred Lines" video
Pharrell Williams courted much controversy last year when he starred on Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”, a track that has been deemed sexist and sexually manipulative.
Now, speaking to Channel 4 News, he’s attempted to defend the track and its intentions to journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy. In the interview (available to watch beneath), Williams says that even though he feels like no man can label themselves as a feminist, the song’s accompanying clip was created with fair intentions.
Williams also goes on to turn the table on his host, asking Guru-Murthy if he himself ever has “naughty thoughts”. Needless to say, Krishnan doesn’t leave the interview entirely convinced by Pharrell’s argument.
