Watch: My Sad Captains – Little Joanne [Premiere]
Released via our good pals over at Trash Aesthetics on 31 October, ‘Little Joanne’ is the long awaited return and indeed first official single from the new My Sad Captains album Fight Less, Win More – due out through Stolen Recordings on 7 November.
Catch the video above that sees the London based quartet frollocking around a provincial seaside town; eating ice cream, playing with a miniature schnauzer (who also, at times, is seen eating ice cream) and generally just having good clean fun, kids. Much like the album, ‘Little Joanne’ is an absolute delight: somehow simultaneously lo-fi and dense in sound, Fight Less, Win More is a record of many different layers. And we love it. Which is why we decided to help the band celebrate the launch and throw them a big party at The Lexington in London on 9 November. My Sad Captains will perform live (naturally) alongside Red Kite, Crushed Beaks and Evans The Death. Tickets are on sale now.
Trash Aesthetics are throwing a release party for the 7″ single tomorrow night in Dalston alongside H. Hawkline who just so happens to appear on the flip side. Details here.
