Directed by vocalist Denise Nouvion, the video for Memoryhouse’s ‘Quiet America’ is as serine as the song’s swelling harmony, crackling undertow and soft, low vocals. A new track taken from the Canadian duo’s expanded The Years EP, due for re-release on 12 September via Sub Pop, ‘Quiet America’ is a melancholic number whose forlorn overture is echoed in the washed out blue tones of the footage. With sweeping, understated cinematography it is unsurprising to learn that the talented Jamie Harley edited this video.
