Watch Iggy Pop cover David Bowie's "Jean Genie" and "Tonight"
Last night, Iggy Pop performed at Tibet House's annual benefit, and covered David Bowie's "Jean Genie".
The benefit was held at New York City's Carnegie Hall, and was curated by seminal composer Phillip Glass. FKA Twigs, Basia Bulat, and Sharon Jones were among the other performers.
Pop, along with members of the Patti Smith group, covered Bowie's classic "Jean Genie" - which you can watch below. Pop also performed a rendition of Bowie's "Tonight" with Jones - Bowie and Pop wrote the track for the punk icon's '77 LP The Idiot, but last night's performance was a cover of the Bowie duet with Tina Turner from his own 1984 record of the same name.
