Watch IDLES play four new songs at landmark Simple Things show
IDLES played a storming homecoming set at Bristol's Simple Things Festival over the weekend, and you can rewatch the carnage now.
Watch the stream of their show.
When we spoke to the band's snarling frontman Joe Talbot last week he promised some new material at their main stage set and revealed that plans for album two are well underway, with recording due to start in January.
If you were lucky enough to be at IDLES' monumental set then you'll have witnessed the band wheel out a handful of fresh cuts - and fortunately the good folk at Crack Magazine filmed the whole thing. At 3:50 there's the live debut of "Colossus", skip to just past the 24 minute mark to hear addictively rhythmic "Samaritans" (which seems to nod to Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" towards the end), hear "song about a disease" "Alcohol" at 31:46ish, and at 50:12 you'll get the potent "Rottweiler".
