The Scott Coffey-directed video for Handsome Furs’ ‘What About Us’ is like a darker, and more arty Skins trailer – with a bit more nudiness. Ok, quite a bit more nudiness (we did say NSFW!). All barren urbanity and existential angst, the video, which premiered on Sterogum on Thursday, is kind of beautiful and scary at the same time – like a Lynch film.
The track comes from the Handsome Furs’ third full length, Sound Kapital, which was released on June 28 by Sub Pop, notable for being the first by the Canadian husband/wife duo to be written exclusively on keyboards.
