Dinosaur Jr’s Lou Barlow and Fucked Up’s Pink Eyes have opened about their experiences of each other’s music scenes in the latest Back & Forth from Noisey.
While Pink Eyes remains the more confrontational of the two – offering up his forehead to show off scars – Barlow admits,”I was definitely into industrial music.”
“I love that idea that nobody was safe,” he explains in the interview, “like someone on stage is equal to a person in the audience. That’s the other thing: there’s an equality there.”
Barlow also recalls a time when he considered playing an acoustic set in front of a swastika-bearing Nazi flag inherited from his grandfather.
