Watch DIIV, Wild Nothing, Mac DeMarco & more in Pitchfork's Captured Tracks documentary
Brooklyn-based label Captured Tracks turned five years old recently, with Pitchfork.tv releasing this documentary film in honour of the milestone.
The 24-minute-long doc features interviews with label founder and ex-Blank Dog Mike Sniper, as well as label signees DIIV, Wild Nothing, Mac DeMarco, Beach Fossils, Widowspeak, and Blouse. The documentary also includes footage from the label’s own festival that took place a few weeks ago in Brooklyn.
In the video, Sniper talks about the beginning of Captured Tracks, curation, and having bands grow with the label and the five-year anniversary festival:
“I’d like to think that in 20 years, some future fan of the bands are like, ‘I can’t believe they all played together in two days.’”
