Watch Courtney Love perform "All I Ever Wanted" from Kansas City Choir Boy
Courtney Love is known for many, many things: singing, writing, acting, art-ing, and everything inbetween... but not opera. That's about to change, with her first-ever run in an opera soon to begin Stateside.
The Hole frontwoman has a role in pop-opera Kansas City Choir Boy, which will be shown at the Here Arts Center in New York City from 8-17 January.
The Arts Center describes the show as "a theatricalized concept album about love altered by unexpected fate," which is also a "mystery told through flashbacks..." They also add that "Kansas City Choir Boy is a love song for the computer age and a product of the 24-hour news cycle that feeds on the stories of the anonymous 'missing.'"
You can watch a teaser below, where Love performs one of the show's tracks - "All I Ever Wanted" - with Todd Almond, the production's composer, tinkling on the ivories.
