Swelling, menacing textures entirely consumed with gloom. That’s the sort of space Columboid operate in. We won’t make any futile attempts at trying to cite comparisons or influences, though. You can do that. Their debut album We Were One, released on the La Societe Expeditionnaire label, came out in the UK a fortnight ago. If this taster has you nodding in approval – the nodding needn’t be all that enthusiastic, given the circumstances – it shouldn’t be too difficult to seek out.
