Oxford’s own Chad Valley offers us a thick slice of pastoral beauty and self-indulgent fun in the new video for his punningly-titled ‘Shell Suite’.
The track is taken from the balearic producer’s recent EP Equatorial Ultravox and the accompanying clip sees a Jane Eyre-looking extra trawl across the southern moors, searching for treasure, dipping into an ice-cold pool and rummaging around a country estate. Which I guess is Britain’s natural take on chillwave nostalgia, really.
Acquaint yourself with the man behind the moniker, the even more exotically-named Hugo Manuel, with the interview below recorded at this year’s Field Day festival.
