A teaser clip has been unveiled for an upcoming documentary movie about late singer-songwriter Elliott Smith.
Heaven Adores You was funded by Kickstarter back in 2011 and will premiere at the San Francisco International Film Festival on 5 May. It’ll showcase never-heard-before music and feature unseen photos and video footage, as well as interviews with family members and previous collaborators, such as Jon Brion.
Director Nickolas Rossi has described the film as a “visual, melodic love letter of sorts to a musical genius, in the environments that he knew best”. Before it sees a full release, watch this trailer right now beneath:
