Walls & more feature on Kompakt's second 20th anniversary compilation
Kompakt‘s 20th birthday celebrations continues with the upcoming release of a best-of compilation, Kollektion 2.
Cologne-based electronic music record label and vinyl/CD distributor Kompakt have come a long way since the opening of their first record store Delirium in 1993 and they’ve already marked their 20 year growth with Kompakt 20 Jahre Kollektion– a 25-track set featuring classic material from the likes of Justus Köhncke, Matias Aguayo, and DJ Koze.
It has now been announced that a second compilation Kollektion 2 is set to drop on 19 August and like the first collection, the second will include an array of key Kompakt releases from the last twenty years such as Closer Musik, Lawrence, Jürgren Paape and Reinhard Voigt as well as Walls and Kölsch.
While their in the birthday gift-giving mood, Kompakt have also invited composer Gregor Schwellenbach to put a classical spin on techno classics from the label vaults.
