Vic Mensa announces new EP with lead track "Dark Things"
Chicago's Vic Mensa shares new cut "Dark Things" to announce his new Hooligans EP arriving next month.
"Dark Things" was debuted today as Zane Lowe's World Record on his Apple Music Beats 1 show.
The track arrives with haunting new visuals directed by Bobby Hanaford, and is the second offering to be revealed from his Hooligans EP, after his G-Eazy collaboration "Reverse" that landed back in June.
As well as "Reverse", Vic Mensa's Hooligans EP will feature collaborations with Ty Dolla Sign, Mr Hudson, Charlie Wilson, G Herbo, and Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood.
Hooligans will be Mensa's first multi-track project since 2017's The Autobiography album and The Manuscript EP.
In a statement, Vic Mensa explained his EP further, "Growing up we referred to ourselves as the Hyde Park Hooligans, so with the EP I wanted to encapsulate energies that represented that experience as well as what’s going on in my life now, for better or for worse.”
