Valerie June announces new EP with cover of Frank Ocean's "Godspeed"
Valerie June has announced her eight-track Under Cover EP, and has shared her cover of Frank Ocean's "Godspeed" to accompany the news.
June's version of Frank Ocean's Blonde track "Godspeed" follows her May cover of Mazzy Star’s "Fade Into You", which will also feature on her Under Cover EP with her versions of John Lennon's "Imagine" and Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" which featured on the deluxe version of her 2021 album The Moon & Stars: Prescriptions For Dreamers that landed in January.
Under Cover will also include June's Amazon Original cover of Bob Dylan's "Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here with You", as well as previously unreleased covers of songs by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Joe South and Gillian Welch.
