Unreleased Kanye West track 'Mama's Boyfriend' surfaces online

With new album Yeezus out later this month, it feels only natural to revisit Kanye West’s last effort, the brilliant My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. And here’s a track recorded during those sessions that sadly never made the final cut.

‘Mama’s Boyfriend’ has been a name long known to West’s fans, after the rapper reportedly performed it acapella at a special show at Facebook’s headquarters. It had previously, despite several hoaxes, seen the light of day.

Until now, that is, as Q Tip has previewed the track at a recent talk he gave at Red Bull Music Academy. You can stream that below, the ‘Mama’s Boyfriend’ snippet comes in at the 1:36:00 mark.

Kanye’s new record, Yeezus comes out 18 June.
