Unknown Mortal Orchestra pump up the grooves on brand new single "First World Problem"
Unknown Mortal Orchestra have shared "First World Problem", a brand new single oozing with disco charm and maudlin energy.
The track debuted last night on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show,
“I think ‘First World Problem’ is about modern love in a crumbling empire,” UMO's Ruban Nielson says. “The feeling that you’re trying to build your life and get what you need while a decadent world falls apart around you.”
You can check out the lyrics on Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Facebook page.
"First World Problem" is Nielson & Co.'s first new music since 2015 LP Multi-Love (although they have contributed noises to the monster 4AD Grateful Dead tribute boxset and Nielson dropped that weird track with his brother earlier in the year).
This summer Unknown Mortal Orchestra are playing a load of festivals, and are warming up next month with a handful of headline dates in Europe, including two in the UK.
