Ultimate Painting announce new album Green Lanes, share lead single "Break The Chain"

The duo, comprising James Hoare and Jack Cooper, recorded the LP to one-inch tape. Each of the members has provided "five songs with various shades of collaboration in between". Cooper said of the process: "The song always comes from a melody, some vague structure and then maybe a verse and chorus worth of lyrics... but everything we do, be it a guitar part or harmony, is always filtered through the other person."

The band will play two dates in London this summer, at Power Lunches both 14 and 15 August.

Green Lanes is out on 7 August via Trouble In Mind. It's the follow up to last year's self-titled debut.
