UK supermarket ASDA to buy HMV?

With financially-hit music chain HMV attempting to downsize to survive, many potential bidders have come forward to acquire their surplus stores.

One of the companies to show a late interest is said to be Wal-Mart, who are looking to turn the shops into mini-ASDA branches.

The Sun report that the company is also thinking about buying the entire company and brand. How serious this claim is remains to be known.
