[UK Premiere] Watch: Sea Of Bees – Skinnybone
Following a truly incredible and endearing performance at London’s Northhampton Square bandstand as part of a mammoth Bandstand Busking line-up, Sea Of Bees has left us with a lovely little parting gift as she heads back to the US in the form of a brand new video for ‘Skinnybone.’ Written for a close group of friends, singer and multi-instrumnetalist Julie Baenziger has said “We live in the city of Sacramento, CA and I didn’t have much, just enough to get by but it made me feel rich being with my friends and living the simple life.”
Directed by Stephan Littger and produced by Samuel Baumel, the video sees the talented young musician dive into a trash can only to be transported into a different, paint splattered, vividly coloured realm whilst the sweet, simple melody of the song washes over our ears. The visuals were apparently designed to explore Baezinger’s split personality: “The video was an idea from the director, Stephan, about my life, my sexuality,” she explains. “A small story of me being an average girl, not able to be whom I really was and am.”
