Uffie is working on a new album, teases new music
Cult popstar Uffie is making a return, and you can hear snippets of new noises now.
It's been a decade since her game-changing "Pop The Glock" demo arrived, and she's been fairly silent since 2010 LP Sex Dreams and Denim Dreams, but she's recently taken to social media to confirm her comeback.
Speaking to MTV about her return, the French/American artist admits a second album was recorded, but subsequently scrapped. Now she's taking another run at it.
“The people I’m working with now are not, like, blog cool kids - it’s such a different process not being part of that DJ scene,” she says. “It wasn’t like, oh, I’m ready to do a new record and it’s going to be amazing. It just felt right.”
Uffie's been working in the US with Nathaniel Hoho (The Walking Shapes) and Ammar Malik (One Direction, Maroon 5) on a new album. She plans to have it finished by the summer.
