Odd Future de-facto leader Tyler The Creator could spend up to a year in prison after accusations of “inciting a riot” at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin.
The rapper was arrested at the Texas music showcase last week following a incident in which he allegedly urged queuing fans to forcefully enter a venue already at triple capacity.
Associated Press report that as well as the year prison sentence, Tyler would also have to pay a $4,000 fine if found guilty. This is on top of the $25,000 bond already paid to ensure the star’s bail.
You can watch video footage of the incident below, courtesy of Stereogum. Tyler has denied all charges.
